He began his studies in dietetics and cooking, however he devoted himself exclusively to confectionery through appreciable collaborations and momentous experience next to the accomplished Chef Pâtissier Gilles Marchal.

With vital influences from French patisserie, he continuously enriches his knowledge in gourmet pastry by actively attending the most significant international seminars.
Dionisis Alertas is also the Chef Pâtissier of Benaki Museum Café-Restaurant and Dipnosofistirion Catering (with the catering they have also created the confectionery Criollo in Kifissia).
